Industrial automation
Beyond programming PLCs and HMIs, my expertise extends to 'motion control,' primarily managing movements through brushless motors and axes.
In addition to standardized programming of these axes, I stand out by creating specific trajectories, either in advance or in real-time, to optimize the machine's final performance.
Electrical engineering
Armed with a degree in Electrical Engineering and over 15 years of industry experience, I am capable of designing the electrical schematic of a machine.
Programming
In addition to my proficiency in automation-related programming languages, I am self-taught in several other languages. In recent years, I have particularly focused on Python, a language I use almost daily, both in my professional activities and for my personal projects.
While I am not a computer engineer, my mastery of these languages is based on practical experience and application in real-world, functional projects.
Management
Throughout my career, I have notably led a multidisciplinary engineering office consisting of 8 specialists in automation, electrical engineering, and mechanics.
I see my role as a manager more as a captain who is on the field with his teammates, rather than as a coach directing from the sidelines.
Mechanical design
My technical studies began in the field of mechanics, covering both design and machining.
This strong foundation allows me to have a comprehensive view of a project and has been an asset in my role as a manager of mechanical engineers.
It has also given me the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in machining, assembly, and machine tuning.
Artificial intelligence
Continuing a part of my studies, I closely follow the recent developments in artificial intelligence.
Beyond the AIs that have been available to the general public for months, I keep in mind the theory and mechanisms behind these 'intelligences.' This allows me to know and reiterate that the term 'intelligence' is not justified.
Personally, I aim to utilize these self-learning mechanisms in a future machine.
Creations
It's outside of work that I engage in a variety of creative activities.
Indeed, through my woodworking tools, my 3D printers, my CNC machine, etc., I regularly create useful and/or decorative items.
